This guide outlines the process for users to export, backup, and import their Chrome bookmarks should the need arise.
- Click the three dots on the top right, as shown in the picture, to get to the Chrome menu. From there, hover to “Bookmarks and lists,” and then “Bookmark manager.” Alternatively, you can also hit Ctrl+Shift+O to access Bookmark Manager.
- Once in Bookmarks manager, you will click another three dots in the corner, to where you can hit “Export Bookmarks”.
- You will then be prompted to save your bookmarks as an HTML file. Make sure the file browser is pointed towards your OneDrive’s Documents folder, as that will always be backed up by OneDrive.
- To import your chrome bookmarks, head to the bookmarks manager from Step 1, but select “Import Bookmarks.” You will then get a file browser opened for you to search and select the html file to import. The bookmarks will then populate under a folder called ‘Imported Bookmarks.’
