Installing/Configuring SAP’s EPM addon for Excel

This document outlines the process for installing the EPM addon for Excel. Installation for this extension is done in two parts; first, the core SAP Office package will have to be installed (AOFFICE27SP02_0-80003502_64bit), followed by the EPM addon itself. 

Installing the core Office package:

  1. Begin by clicking the installation executable, to which it will extract files and then prompt you for local admin credentials; after this is done, the first page will come up:

  1. After hitting ‘Next’, you’ll be prompted to select package options—in the case of this being for Microsoft Office, you can just hit “Select All” and then hit next;

  1. Confirm the install path as shown, hit “Next” one final time and the install should extract everything:

  1. After this completes, you will be prompted to reboot. After this is completed, you can proceed to the install for the EPM addin:

 EPM ADD-IN INSTALLATION

 

  1. Install the application package from share point installation folder, or download them from Planning and Consolidation page from SAP Start Page, “EPM-Add-in_x32.exe” and “EPM-ADD-in_x64.exe”

  1. During install, select language and properties like this:

  1. In Microsoft Excel, Click File-> Options ->Add-Ins-> select Analysis toolpack-> under manage, select com-add ins->select inquire. Then you will see the EPM option appear on the tools tab:

  1. Finally, under the connection tap, click on log on, create new connection. Using the Properties of Parameters below:

This is the path to be added: http://afrecap0.agrofresh.com:8000/sap/bpc/

After this has been entered, you will be prompted to enter your SAP PROD credentials to test it. Once this is completed, you can hit “Save”, and the setup is now completed.
